Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the data, APIs, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Remulous Labs LLC ("Remulous Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Services — including through a third-party marketplace such as RapidAPI — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Services

Remulous Labs provides data products and application programming interfaces that aggregate, normalize, and republish information derived from primary public sources. Access is offered on a self-serve, metered basis, and may be subject to the additional terms, rate limits, and billing arrangements of any marketplace through which you obtain access.

2. Informational use only — no professional advice

The data provided through the Services is offered for general informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, trading, tax, legal, employment, real-estate, or other professional advice, and must not be relied upon as such. Nothing in the Services constitutes a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any security or to engage in any transaction. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make and any actions you take based on the data, and you should consult a qualified professional before acting.

3. Data sources, accuracy, and provenance

Our data is derived from third-party and public sources, including government records and filings. While we work to normalize and accurately represent these sources, we do not create the underlying records and cannot guarantee that the data is complete, accurate, current, or error-free. Source data may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or delays, and may be revised or withdrawn by its originator. The Services are provided to facilitate access to public information and you are responsible for independently verifying any data before relying on it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
• exceed, circumvent, or interfere with rate limits, access controls, or security measures;
• use the data to harass, defame, discriminate against, or unlawfully target any individual or entity;
• resell, redistribute, or sublicense the raw data in a manner that competes with the Services, except as expressly permitted in writing;
• misrepresent the source, accuracy, or provenance of the data; or
• use the Services in any way that could damage, disable, or impair them.

5. API keys and accounts

Access credentials are personal to you and your organization. You are responsible for keeping them secure and for all activity that occurs under them. We may suspend or revoke access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or threatens the integrity of the Services.

6. Intellectual property

The underlying public records remain the property of their respective sources. As between you and Remulous Labs, the compilation, normalization, schema, software, and presentation of the Services are owned by Remulous Labs. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the data for your internal or product purposes consistent with your subscription.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES AND ALL DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REMULOUS LABS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Remulous Labs LLC and its members from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to the Services and Terms

We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Virginia.
